'TV in the Fall' - Falling from Glory?

Some of our Favorite Networks
I have a lot of things that interest me and a lot more that really doesn't but for now i would like to share with you my take on tv this season. So the Fall season tv shows have arrived taking with it the good, not so good and the downright ridiculous. I for one am excited for the return of some of my favorites such as Dexter, Revenge, The Good Wife,Glee, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, The Mentalist......I could go on for awhile so I will just end there. Some shows really surprised me by coming back for a second season though, Not to mention the new shows that never should have been made in the first place. This leads me to think that really anyone can have a show. Who cares about the story line and properly developing characters. Lets not forget the multitude of new shows each season premiering and after watching it you say "Haven't i seen this before?....Yes you have, same story different version! How is it that  the same shows keep getting picked up?, who signs off on these shows? What ever happened to originality?

TV is now as saturated as the market for selling books. Now everyone is an author who believes that they can write a book and their words are worth reading. If you really wanted to be heard then just have a blog like everyone else including myself. Oh, i know why that wont do, its not as profitable. But At least this way it doesn't inconvenience people to spend their money to read garbage.

This may be a small minded and ignorant thing to say and i would be the first to acknowledge that if it is but when i think of some of the people who are writing books such as Chelsea Handler and Snooki (just to name a couple because there are a lot more) it leads me to really wonder " What the hell do they have to say?". No offense to Chelsea Handler because i like watching her show, most things dysfunctional fascinates me but based on the persona she displays to us as viewers, judging solely from that  i am just not seeing the driving factor that would make me decide to go by her book. I wont even mention Snooki because well...... i can hardly follow her sentence let alone read something she wrote.

Taking it back to my point these are my predictions for Fall 2012 new shows:

666 Park Avenue- (One season)- The story line is lame and already done. Yes People are selling their soul to the devil and we all know how that ends. At first they will relish the fabulous life they have because of their deal, some of them will start to have regrets while others will be too consumed with the material things. A new member or couple will enter who will pose a threat to the way things are usually done in their neighborhood when they refuse to conform....blah blah blah
Animal Practice- (Partial Season)- The idea is weak and will not go far in holding interest. The drama and intrigue will become forced and fade away quickly. I love Justin Kirk from Weeds but this show seems weak.
Mob Doctor- (One Season)-Please People, not because Mob Movies have been a hit because we are fascinated with the bad and really bad guy image doesn't mean that everything with that element is interesting.
Major Crimes-(Picked for second season)- I'm not a big fan of this show especially because its about law enforcement yet the team overall looks old and unflattering. That may be vain of me but hey you need to mix it up a bit. Who wants to watch grandpa catch bad guys all day. Either way people love a good cop show so....
Beauty and the Beast- (One Season)- This is a definite Fail in my opinion. It just seems really cheesy and the cheese factor doesn't work for me.
Arrow- (One Season)- Super heroes are a big craze because everyone loves a hero. In my opinion however if its not executed properly it comes across as a failed attempt of being cool. I don't think this one will pass. The days of superheroes on CW ended with Smallville.

Those are my predictions for this season. I am open to your predictions as well. Until next time......

Witty Wednesday
